Calf Starter Pellets are designed as a starter and follow on feed for calves for the first week until around 135kg liveweight.
Feeding Recommendations:
- Calf Starter Pellets can be introduced within the first week, while feeding milk.
- Introduce small amounts (4-500g per head per day to start), and gradually increase the daily amount ad lib until calves are consuming 1-1.5kg per head per day, at which point milk can be withdrawn.
- It is recommended to feed Starter Pellets fresh every day to avoid digestive problems.
- The Pellets are designed to be used along with a source of roughage such as cereal hay or straw, and always maintain access to a source of clean fresh water.
