What's in the bag? Our super ingredients!
MSM
MSM is a natural analgesic and blocks the transfer of pain impulses through the nerve fibres. It is a strong antioxidant and contains many more goodies such as vitamin C, Coenzyme Q10, all B-Vitamins, Vitamin A, D and E, Amino Acids, Selenium, Calcium, Magnesium, and many others.
Glucosamine
One of the most well studied ingredients for joint supplement. It is a natural amino sugar that produces in the body naturally. Found in the cartilage, the tough tissue that cushions the joints. It is one of the building blocks of cartilage and helps protect the end of the bones allowing bones to move smoothly against each other. The aging bodies once produced naturally are available in supplement form to help support the joints. This is where glucosamine may be effective. It may balance the synthesis of collagen and proteoglycans in the cartilage and has a mild anti-inflammatory effect because it scavenges free radicals.
Scientific studies show that oral administration of Glucosamine can provide pain relief caused by inflammation, breaks and eventual loss of cartilage that occurs with osteoarthritis.
Chondroitin
Chondroitin sulphate is an important structural component of cartilage and is a part of a proteoglycan (large protein molecule) that gives cartilage elasticity.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C is a great immune booster for dogs and horses, it scavenges potentially harmful free radicals in the body and can help reduce inflammation and cognitive ageing.
Hyaluronic acid is glycosaminoglycan (GAG) compound and naturally found in the body’s fluid, tissues, synovial fluid, and articular cartilage. Hyaluronic acids are known for lubricating, high moisture retention, and viscoelasticity properties that function as shock absorber, joint composition support. HA used in the therapeutic industry for the treatment of wound repair, Osteoarthritis, burns, ophthalmic, and commonly used in skin care products. With deterioration of osteoarthritis the natural HA is unlikely to form in the joints.
Veterinarians have used Hyaluronic acid for decades in the form of injection into the joints of animals for the treatment such as osteoarthritis. Oral Hyaluronic acid has proven by daily intake can assist with the discomfort of joint conditions and in fact studies have shown animals such as horses and dogs absorb it better orally then injectable.
